Each agency which employs persons to work with children must appoint a Designated Senior Manager to whom all allegations or concerns of abuse by staff are reported and whose responsibilities include ensuring that the correct procedure is followed when such allegations or concerns are raised. The Designated Senior Manager will liaise with the Local Authority Designated Officer and attend Strategy Meetings as appropriate.
